He was born in Hekimhan in 1970. He completed his primary and secondary education in İstanbul. He was graduated from the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1993. He worked as the responsible Physician at the village clinic in Amasya and as the assistant manager at Health Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality until 1995. Served as the Alderman and Chairman of the Health Commission at the10th term Provincial General Assembly of Istanbul. He represented Istanbul at The Regions of the European Union Assembly in the Health and Social Policy Committee. He worked as a manager at Various Civil Society and Humanitarian Organisation. Kerem Kınık who served as the General Manager in his professional business life in national and international technology companies keeps on doctoral studies in the field of disaster medicine at the Bezmialem Foundation University.

Kerem Kınık was the Vice-Chairman of the Turkish Red Crescent since 2015 and he has been elected as the Chairman at the Annual General Assembly of Turkish Red Crescent on April 4, 2016. Elected as the Vice-President of Inteernational Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent in 2017, Kınık can speak fluent English and intermediate level Arabic. Kerem Kınık is married to Dr. Hatice Ozturk Kınık has three children with the names of Muhammed Furkan, Abdullah Harun and Fatıma Zehra and a grandchild with the name of Hatice Leyla.
