Thomas Hallier

Operations Coordinator for Turkey, Department of Operations, ICRC

Thomas Hallier is Operations Coordinator for Europe and Central Asia at the ICRC. In this capacity, he oversees the relations of the ICRC with Northern and Central Europe, the EU, NATO and Turkey. Born and raised in France on the shores of Brittany, he studied history, law and public affairs in Paris and New York. He worked briefly for the United Nations Department of Economic & Social Affairs in New York (2001-2002) and for the European Commission in Brussels (2005). After a few years spent advising on innovation in a leading consultancy firm, he joined the ICRC in 2010 where his missions successively took him to Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
